SHORT PROFILE
Salva Daneshgadeh Cakmakci received her Bachelor degree in “Computer Engineering” in 2007 from Azad University of Tabriz (Iran). Subsequently, she received her MSc and Ph.D. degrees in “Information Systems” in 2013 and 2019 respectively from the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara (Turkey). She is currently a post-doc at in the working group Computer Architecture at FB03 at the University of Bremen.

She works on the project SecProPort (Scalable Security Architectures for Business Processes in German Ports), which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) as part of the Innovative Port Technologies (IHATEC) funding program. She focuses on the applications of machine learning to network-traffic data to build models for identifying cyberattacks and abnormal behaviors. She is interested in different security solutions like Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), as well as cybersecurity data analytics and Security Operations Centers (SOC).
