STATISTICAL CONSULTING
AT KKSB / AG APPLIED STATISTICS
The
Biometry department
of the Competence Center for Clinical Trials Bremen (KKSB) and the
“Applied Statistics” working group at the
University of Bremen offer free statistical consulting. One one-hour consultation every week is offered. Here, interested persons
have the opportunity to discuss questions about the planning and / or statistical evaluation of a specific study or experiment or
more general statistical questions with experienced biostatisticians.
The consulting service is aimed at scientists and doctoral
students from the fields of medicine, health sciences, biology and other natural sciences.
The statistical consulting is carried out
as part of a course for students in Faculty 3 of the University of Bremen. About 3 students also take part in the
counseling sessions, which are held by experienced employees from the Biometry Department of the KKSB and the “Applied Statistics” working group at the University
of Bremen, in order to gain practical experience in statistical consulting. These are predominantly students of the international master’s course
"Medical Biometry / Biostatistics". The consulting sessions are held in English.
