The Data Science Center (DSC) is an interdisciplinary institute that acts as focal point for data-driven research and data science at the University of Bremen. Our goal is to strengthen data science in research, education, and application across all faculties as well as to advance scientific discoveries through cross-disciplinary collaborations.

Empowering Education: AI4Ed initiative makes progress in Zreče with the support of the Data Science Center
On May 7th and 8th, the project meeting provided a stage for the six partner organizations to assess the advancements and chart the trajectory for educational innovation. Leveraging her expertise, our data steward, Heike Thöricht, provided invaluable guidance on data management, enriching the collaborative efforts of all members involved.

PhD-Student at DSC Sana Hassan Imam Presents Paper on Generative AI Model
Sana presented her paper on a generative AI model at the ACM CHI Generative AI Workshop 2024 on the 12th of May. By this she brought international recognition to the research at DSC.

The DSC supports a research stay at the Data Science Institute (DSI) at Columbia University
The award of this DSC Seed Grant to Prof. Dr. Nicole Megow supports the establishment of international collaborations between researchers at the University of Bremen and Columbia University, as well as other institutions, in New York City. The goal is to work on joint research projects in the emerging field of learning-augmented algorithm design.
