SHORT PROFILE
Janik Ole Wecks graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Bremen in 2023 and has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Accounting and Control since then. During his studies, he supported research at this chair and worked at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). In addition, he is a visiting researcher at Concordia University in Montreal.
His research focuses on empirical capital market research with archival quantitative and unstructured data. Methodologically, he primarily uses classical econometric methods as well as supervised machine learning and natural language processing.
