His multidisciplinary background is in media and communication studies, philosophy, and computer science. In various international projects funded by DFG, European Commission and others, he investigates the formation of platforms and their governance, the discursive and political shaping of „Artificial Intelligence“ (AI) and the increasing automation of communication.
