E-Science-Days 2023

From March 1st till 3rd, the E-Science Days 2023 took place in Heidelberg. This year, the conference was held under the motto ‘Empower Your Research – Preserve Your Data’. DSC coordinator Dr. Lena Steinmann also attended the conference and represented the Data Science Center with a poster contribution.

The E-Science Days are an interdisciplinary conference series focusing on the topics of research data management and open science. This year, the E-Science Days took place under the motto ‘Empower Your Research – Preserve Your Data’.

Together, participants discussed how to ensure the sustainable storage, management, availability, and accessibility of research data over its entire life-cycle. Efficient research data management is not only essential for individual research projects, but also for interdisciplinary and international collaboration. Moreover, it fosters the advancement of scientific knowledge and the development of new research questions.

The E-Science Days combined a variety of event formats to enable a lively exchange surrounding the topics of research data management and open science. From March 1st till 3rd, different panel discussions, workshops, talks, and technical presentations took place. Another part of the programme was a poster session that was held on Thursday afternoon. DSC coordinator Lena Steinmann also attended the event. With the poster ‘The Data Science Center of the University of Bremen – Interdisciplinary Hub and Service Infrastructure for Dataintensive Research’, she represented the DSC, giving an insight into its work in the field of research data management and data science.
